7The
Gospel of wealth is an essay written by Carnegie, a steel and iron baron. Written in 1889 when the economy was booming it was directed towards other wealthy men. It is all about the
administration of wealth and how the gap between the rich and the poor cannot be to big. To combat this Carnegie suggests that money be recirculated into the economy by spending
a lot. He suggests this can be done in three ways, first left to the
decedents. Second put into the public for the good of people or lastly it can just be used by the
administrators. Although his heart was in the right place and this essay got much praise not many followers started up this practice. This was a dream that just did not get fullfiled.
